New Moon Fund is honored to join the Sex Work Donor Collaborative, a global network of funders working together to increase the amount and quality of funding to support sex workers’ rights.

10/15/22 Update : Savannah Sly, Director of New Moon Fund, has been elected to the Steering Committee of the SWDC. Says Sly of the new role, “I am thankful for the opportunity to learn and support this global network of advocates and allies. Together, we will help make apparent to funders the links between sex work and the major issues of our time.”

Information published on the SWDC website illustrates the relevance and need for increased funding into the field of sex worker rights and welfare. For instance, a 2018 survey shows that sex workers rights received less than 1% of all human rights funding globally, despite being a central issue concerning women, girls, and LGBTQ people.

We look forward to working alongside the member organizations at SWDC to provide increased support for sex working communities abroad and in the USA.
